Spears commits to Comets of NAIA

Western Iowa Tech basketball is proud to announce that former Comets starting guard Jai'lyn Spears will continue his college basketball career at Mayville State University, an NAIA program in Mayville, North Dakota.
 
Spears, a 6'4" guard from Omaha, Nebraska, averaged 9.9 points in just 14.2 minutes per game for WIT. He scored a season-high 28 points against Southwestern CC on January 31, and scored 23 points in three other games.
 
Mayville State, also the Comets, will compete in the North Star Athletic Association for the final time in 2024-25, after which they will move to the Frontier Conference.
